Property Owner Vastly Increases Recovery In Condemnation Action

Thank you for visiting the Hoegen and Associates, P.C. Blog! Today we have the case of Meck Realty Partners, II, LLC, and H. H. Fessler Knitting Co., Inc. vs. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation.

In this particular case, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania filed a Notice of Taking against Meck Realty Partners, II, LLC, and H. H. Fessler Knitting Co., Inc. The condemnees filed objections to the taking.

Hoegen and Associates, P.C represented Meck Realty Partners, II, LLC and H. H. Fessler Knitting Co., Inc. We fought to ascertain just compensation for the condemnees. The just compensation would be provided for the taking of a portion of unimproved ground of a 92-acre industrial site of Meck Realty Partners, II, LLC, which the company leased to H. H. Fessler Knitting Co., Inc.

The Board of Viewers found the expert appraisal of Meck Realty Partners, II, LLC to be sound and granted them an award of damages in the amount of $1,140,000.
